Let’s welcome Mountaineer fans as they welcomed us

By Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:

Did you travel to West Virginia to last year’s football game? If so, you may have experienced what we did as we went to the alumni dinner and later walked up the long climb to the football stadium

The pathway was lined with West Virginia fans welcoming us with handshakes and greetings such as: “Welcome to West Virginia,” “Welcome to Morgantown,” or “Welcome from the Mountaineers.” I hope that as West Virginia fans enter Bill Snyder Family Stadium, we might do the same.

Over the past years I have made it a point to travel to one away game per year, and I have never had this type of reception in any of the Big 12 stadiums. So take time to welcome the fans of West Virginia and give them a big Wildcat welcome to our K-State family.
