The K-State track and field team heads to Tucson, Ariz., this weekend for the Jim Click Shootout at Roy P. Drachman Stadium.

The meet began Thursday with the combined events, but the Wildcats will not compete until Saturday. The main team scored meet will be Saturday, with the Wildcats squaring off against host Arizona, as well as Air Force, New Mexico and Washington State.

Lastseason’sShootoutsawboth the men’s and women’s squad finish third in a meet that had four Top-25 teams competing on the men’s side and two on the women’s side.

Though the Wildcats won’t be entering anyone in the combined events like they did last year, they will look to replicate that success fielding their first full squad of the season at an outdoor meet.

Action on Saturday is set to begin at 11 a.m. with the women’s hammer throw.
