KSU to host annual Band Day

High school marching bands from across Kansas — and even Missouri — are coming to Manhattan on September 14 to participate in Kansas State University’s annual Band Day. Band Day starts with a parade at 1 p.m. in Aggieville’s Triangle Park. A map of the parade route is available at

“Band Day is a long-lived tradition here at K-State that rallies the city, campus, athletics and bands all around the ‘Spirit of the Wildcats,’” said Frank Tracz, director of bands at K-State. “I appreciate seeing the students experience a K-State football day with eyes wide open.”

During halftime of the football game, all schools will take the field with the Kansas State University Marching Band and perform .
