KSU student dies of natural causes

Kansas State University officials have released updated information suggesting the student who was found dead in his dorm room in October died of natural causes due to complications from diabetes.

Thomas McCord, a sophomore in English and creative writing, was found dead in his room in Marlatt Hall on Oct. 28.

He was a member of Sigma Pi fraternity and the son of Dan and Therese McCord of Overland Park.

Donations in honor of McCord may be made to the Diabetes Foundation, in care of McGilley and Hoge Johnson County Memorial Chapter in Overland Park.
