Klein named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week

By Joshua Kinder

After accounting for four touchdowns in Kansas State’s 52-13 victory over Miami on Saturday, Klein was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

The honor was Klein’s second of his career after earning the nod following the Texas A&M game last season.

Klein completed 9-of-11 passes for 210 yards and a touchdown against the Hurricanes.

On the ground, Klein rushed for three scores — the 10th multi-touchdown game of his career, while totaling 71 yards on 22 carries.

K-State completes non-conference play this Saturday with a 6 p.m., tilt against North Texas (1-1) at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The game is sold out, but fans can see the game nationally on FSN.
