To The Editor:
The “Spirit of Giving” was quite visible as Manhattan residents participated in the 61st annual Pancake Breakfast and Silent Auction sponsored by the Manhattan Kiwanis Club on December 10th. Business sponsors, visitors, families and neighbors made the fundraising event fun and enjoyable when coupled with the traditional breakfast of pancakes, sausage and eggs.
All profits support youth and community charities within the Manhattan city area. Donations from the following businesses assisted us this year. The Manhattan Kiwanis Club would like to thank Wal-Mart Supercenter, Hy-Vee, Dillons Westloop, McDonalds Westloop, Cary Company, Copy-Kats, Frontier Farm Credit, Homestead Assisted Living, Stoneybrook Retirement, Staples and Early Edition for their contributions to our event. We also appreciate the advertising assistance provided by Community First National Bank, Sunflower Bank and Farmers State Bank.
As a club we would like to say “Thank You” to all participants and to wish everyone in the Manhattan community a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, We hope to see all of you next year at our “62nd Pancake Feed.”
