Kivett, Conlon coming back to K-State

By Joel Jellison

Kansas State baseball draftees Ross Kivett and Shane Conlon announced this week through social media that they would be returning for their senior seasons with the Wildcats.

Kivett was selected in the 10th round by his hometown Cleveland Indians two weeks ago, while Shane Conlon was selected late by the Kansas City Royals. Both used their personal twitter accounts to announce intentions to return for one last season with K-State.

The Big 12 Player of the Year, Kivett hit .360 this season with a team-leading 94 hits with 39 RBIs. Conlon earned All-Big 12 honors, batting .341 with 28 RBIs.

K-State won its first Big 12 title this season, hosted its first regional tournament and advanced to its first Super Regional.
