KBCA releases Week 4 rankings



The Flint Hills area was well represented in the final Kansas Basketball Coaches’ Association high school rankings of the year released Dec. 17.

Both the girls’ and boys’ teams from Manhattan High came in at No. 8 in Class 6A, with the girls jumping up two spots and the boys jumping up one. The girls team is undefeated at 5-0, while the boys will finish the month at 3-2, with a pair of losses to ranked squads.

The Wamego girls’ team continues to rank No. 1 in 4A, currently sitting at 5-0.

In 1A-Div 1, the Valley Heights boys’ and girls’ teams are both in the latest poll. The boys, at 4-1 on the season, come in at No. 4, while the girls,
