K-State women’s golf in sixth at Westbrook Invitational

Peoria, Ariz.—The Kansas State women’s golf team currently sits in sixth place after two rounds of play of the Westbrook Spring Invitational at the par-72, 6,178-yard Westbrook Village Golf Club.

The Wildcats turned in a solid 36-hole score of 10-over-par 586 Sunday, thanks to a second-round score of 1-over-par 289.

Hanna Roos led the Wildcats with a 1-under-par 143 and sits in ninth place going into the third round. Roos looks to continue her solid play and earn her first top-10 finish of the 2011-12 season.

Gianna Misenhelter also had a solid 36-hole score of 144 to sit in a tie for 10th.  The sophomore is looking to earn her fourth top-10 finish on the season.

Whitney Pyle notched a 4-over-par 148 to sit in a tie for 27th, and one stroke behind Pyle was Olivia Eliasson, who currently sits in a tie for 34th.
