K-State volleyball to host scrimmage today

The Kansas State volleyball team will host a scrimmage on today against Washburn as spring workouts continue for the 2013 season.

K-State and the Lady Blues will play at 4 p.m. in the upper gym at Ahearn Field House.

Fans can attend the scrimmage for free and are asked to enter Ahearn Field House on the north side. Information on season tickets will also be available for fans at the scrimmage.

K-State will also travel to Texas this weekend to participate in the Lone Star Classic College Showcase in Dallas on Saturday. The Wildcats will take on the NCAA Champion Texas Longhorns as well as LSU and Ole Miss during pool play of the tournament.

The Wildcats return six seniors to the 2013 squad and will play 13 home matches at Ahearn Field House. Last season, K-State fans filled the stands to rank 20th in the nation in attendance with more than 1,800 per match.
