By The Mercury

As part of its final home match of the 2014 spring season on April 19, K-State women’s tennis will host a USTA/ITA Campus Kids Day at the Mike Goss Tennis Stadium at noon. The match is free and open to the public, as the Wildcats host instate rival Kansas to wrap up the regular season.

The USTA/ITA Campus Kids Day is designed to expose junior players, their parents and coaches to college tennis matches. Any child in the age range of kindergarten to 8th grade is allowed to participate in the USTA/ITA Campus Kids Day activities.

Each participant in the Campus Kids Day will learn tips from skilled tennis instructors, enjoy cookies and refreshments, receive a K-State tennis poster, and have an opportunity to take a photo with Willie the Wildcat.

The first 30 kids to sign up will receive a free K-State tennis tshirt. On court activities will begin at 11 a.m.

Registration for the Campus Kids Day and admission to the match is free and parents can register online at www. kstatesports. com/ ot/ campus- kids-day-reg.html.
