K-State men’s golf headed to California

The Wildcats will open play in the St Mary’s Invitational on Monday at par-72, 7,104-yard Bayonet and Blackhorse Golf Course in Seaside, Calif. The trip west is the first of four events this season in California for the Wildcats.

In addition to K-State, the field for this year’s event will include Akron, Ball State, California, Cal State Northridge, Florida Gulf Coast, Fresno State, Hawaii, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, North Carolina State, Oregon, St. John’s, St. Mary’s, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Clara, UC Irvine and UC Riverside.

K-State’s scoring lineup will consist of junior Kyle Weldon and seniors Daniel Wood, Alex Carney, David Klaudt and Tyler Norris.
