K-State beats Ole Miss, 61-58

The Kansas State men’s basketball team overcame poor shooting performances all around on Thursday to beat Ole Miss 61-58 at Bramlage Coliseum.

The Wildcats (5-3) made just 55 percent of their free throws and shot 36 percent from the field. Thomas Gipson led the way with 15 points, while Marcus Foster added 15 points.

Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson scored 13 points off the bench and had a chance to win the game with a 3-pointer as the final seconds ticked off the clock, but he was off the mark.

K-State will be back at home next Tuesday for a game against South Dakota at 7 p.m. inside Bramlage.
