JV soccer ties Emporia

The Manhattan High JV boys soccer team tied host Emporia 1-1 on Thursday.

The Indians scored in the 44th minute on a header by Kirkland Lambert off a corner kick by Brandon Religa.

Emporia tied it in the 56th minute.

The JV outshot Emporia 12-3. Casey Hoffman and Wes Whitney each had a save.

The JV is now 5-1-1. The Indians return to action Tuesday against Hayden at Anneberg Park.
