The Manhattan High JV soccer team beat the Wichita South Titans 4-0 Tuesday in Wichita.
The teams were tied 0-0 at the half, but MHS scored in a flurry at the beginning of the second half. Austin French had three goals and an assist. Kirkland Lambert scored one goal and assisted on one of French’s. Brandon Religa had the other assist.
MHS outshot Wichita South 34-0. Casey Hoffman and Sachin DeYoung were in goal. DeYoung was credited with one save on a breakaway, though there technically was no shot off the attacker’s foot.
The JV is now 5-1 on the season. Next action is Thursday at Emporia.
