Juniors Kirielius, Dick finish 2-3 in men’s decathlon

Thomas Kirielius finished the men’s decathlon in second place and Devin Dick was third for K-State’s silver and bronze showing in the event, which is a combination of 10-events.

Kirielius totaled 7,508 points and Dick posted 7,425 points.

Kirielius was first in the javelin throw with a distance of 204-feet-5- inches, while Dick was third with a throw of 164-7. Freshman Petter Olson was runner-up with a distance of 178-2.

Kirielius also posted the top numbers in the shot put, while Dick was the top decathlete in the high jump with a height of 2.05 meters.
