By The Mercury

Junction City police are on the lookout for a man and woman who stole money from a Laundromat by opening the change machines in the business, and officials are asking the public for help.

The theft occurred on Dec. 21 at Sunshine Laundry, 1802 N. Jackson St., at approximately 5:50 p.m. Surveillance video from the business captured images of the suspects, a white man in a dark-colored jacket and white woman in a pink hooded sweatshirt, walking through the business.

Officials said the two gained access to the change machines by using a key or other device and removed an unknown amount of currency.

Anyone with identification information is asked to contact Lt. Jeff Childs with the Junction City Police Department at (785) 762-5912.
