Junction City pair arrested on drug charges

Junction City authorities seized marijuana and drug paraphernalia and arrested two people after searching a residence Friday morning.

Steven Simpson, 24, and Bethany Johnson, 25, both of Junction City, were arrested after a search warrant was executed by the Junction City-Geary County Drug Operations Group and SWAT team.

Officers searched 2610 Strauss Blvd. Apt. 1308, according to a Junction City Police Department report.

The search followed a month-long investigation by the Drug Operations Group into suspected drug sales at the residence.

Simpson was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, endangering a child, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Johnson was charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia, endangering a child, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
