Behind a flurry of 3-pointers in the first half, Jefferson County North (23-1) built a 31-point halftime lead and cruised to an 81-29 win over the Madison/Hamilton Bulldogs (17-7).
Sisters Jacee Kramer and Jordan Kramer combined for 54 points, nearly double the entire Bulldogs’ output. Jamie Navinskey joined the Kramer sisters in double figures with 11 points. The Chargers, whose only loss of the season is to the top-ranked team in the 3A tournament, scored 19 or more points in the first three quarters and shot a blistering 55 percent from the field for the game.
The leading scorers for Madison/Hamilton were Michala Shakalee, who scored eight points and Morgan Thomsen who added seven.
Jefferson County North will face Lebo/Belleville Republic County on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
