A woman was arrested Tuesday night on charges of driving under the influence and several other charges after her car crashed on East Chestnut Street in Junction City, sending a teen passenger to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Tammy Patterson, 38, of Junction City, at about 7:30 p.m. was driving a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix east in the 800 block of East Chestnut Street when she lost control of the car and struck a light pole.
According to the Highway Patrol’s accident report, the vehicle was traveling “at a high rate of speed.”

The report indicated Sledd was the only person in the car wearing a seat belt.
In addition to the DUI charge, state troopers arrested Patterson for reckless driving, failure to stop at an injury accident, driving without liability insurance, aggravated endangering a child and improper driving on a laned road.
