It’s not always wise to carry concealed weapons

By Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:
In the Rudyard Kipling poem about the five blind men and the elephant, the blind men are used as symbols for the way we see the world. In the writings of Plato, the same sort of image is used in his story about a man held prisoner in a cave. It’s an old idea that we do not see the world either completely or accurately.
