It’s easy to tune out Herspring’s liberal critics

By Letters to the Editor

To the Editor: I always love Dale Herspring’s perspective and applaud The Mercury for his column. It provides some balance, to say the least.

I’m humored by his critics. To me, and I suspect to most Kansans, they sound like so much static on the radio. We just change the channel.

Voters did the same in November. Donald Trump won all but two counties in Kansas. The hypocrisy on the left is deafening on so many issues that I will give the other party a few.

But 2013 is not 2017. Most of the world has applauded this limited action. So maybe the critics will give us all a break and focus on something really important, like the Manhattan High School mascot.
