It’s a joy to live in a town where honesty is practiced

To the Editor:

When I lost my wallet about a week ago, I somehow knew it would be returned to me. Having lived in Manhattan for eight years, I have developed a deep-rooted faith in its people’s honesty and goodwill.

Sure enough, I received a call from my bank notifying me that the wallet was found by employ-ees of Manhattan Appliances & Sleep Source Inc. I would like to publicly acknowledge these young men’s honesty.

They refused to take any financial gratitude from me, as they most likely felt that their biggest reward was returning property to its rightful owner.

Thank you very, very much! What a great pleasure it is to live in a town where honesty is not only strong, but often practiced.
