Is Black Friday surpassing Thanksgiving as a holiday?

To the Editor:
Thanksgiving, I’m afraid, is being squeezed out of existence. The lovely holiday when we gather together with friends and family for a meal, as did our Pilgrim fathers, to thank God for being in a free land and for bringing us through the difficulties of another year, is just about gone.
