An apartment belonging to a Riley County Jail inmate reportedly was burglarized Monday evening while the man was in custody.

Lt. Josh Kyle said an unknown person stole a flat-screen television and Playstation gaming system from the garage apartment of Devon Davis, 23, 516 Bertrand St., sometime between 8 p.m. on Sept. 24 and 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 25.

Kyle said a third party who lives in the main part of the house reported that the apartment had a damaged side window.

The total loss is unknown but should exceed $500.

Davis is currently confined to the Riley County Jail on $15,000 bond after he was arrested on Sept. 21 for three counts of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, unlawful use of a telecommunications device, sale of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, no drug tax stamp and possession of drug paraphernalia.
