Six Kansas State University students were involved in a crash early Sunday morning on Tabor Valley Road, less than a mile east of Pillsbury Crossing Road and two of the students were transported to the hospital.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Zachary Goldsmith, 20, Germantown, Tennessee, was driving a 2004 Nissan Xterra carrying 5 occupants northbound on Tabor Valley Road around 1:45 a.m. when Goldsmith lost control of the vehicle, which entered the ditch and overturned.

Riley County EMS transported Victoria Utz, 19, Kansas City, Missouri, and Jessica Warren, 19, Kiowa, to Mercy Regional Health Center for injuries.

The other occupants were Lane Giess, 19, Pierz, Minnesota, Luke Dyleski, 19, Tonganoxie, and Kayla McKinzie, 19, Bucyrus. They are listed as having possible injuries, but were not transported to the hospital.

Goldsmith and Giess were the only ones reportedly wearing seatbelts.
