Injury accident on Anderson Avenue
Police reported that the driver of the car that crashed into a crosswalk traffic signal pole on Anderson Avenue, near Lee Elementary School, Tuesday morning, lost control of her car because of medical conditions.

Lt. Josh Kyle said officers originally received a call about a rollover accident on Anderson Avenue near Westview Drive at about 9 a.m. He said that upon arrival, officers discovered that Jordan Matthews, 23, Manhattan, had driven her 2004 Oldsmobile Alero into a signal pole, causing her car to flip over.

Kyle said Matthews had been driving eastbound on Anderson Avenue when she swerved into oncoming lanes because of a medical condition.

Riley County EMS transported Matthews for minor cuts and back pain.
