The Manhattan Parks and Recreation Department held the seventh annual Hot Shot Basketball Competition this past Saturday at City Auditorium.
The contest, which involves shooting baskets from specified points on the court in a limited amount of time, was open to all boys and girls in the third through eighth grades.
There were 63 participants this year, according to city recreation superintendent Kelly Walters.
Here are the award-winners in each of the age divisions
— Third/fourth grade: 1st, Keenan Schartz 34 points; 2nd, Clasyon Joyce 22 points; 3rd, Lane Religa 17 points.
— Fifth/sixth grade: 1st, Ian Uphoff 27 points (won in shootout); 2nd, Peyton Weixelman 27 points; 3rd, Brett Seaton 25 points
— Seventh/eighth grade: 1st, Anthony Gonzales 34 points; 2nd, Logan Logback 33 points; 3rd, Dustin Wichman 23 points.
