Hospital hires two speech pathologists

Mercy Regional Health Center hired Meg Vernon and Peggy Wiens as pediatric speech language pathologists.

Vernon has more than seven years of experience as a speech language pathologist.

In 2006, Meg earned her master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin — Stevens Point in Speech Language Pathology.

Meg primarily works in the acute care setting and the pediatric outpatient clinic.

Wiens joined the Mercy team in February 2014. Peggy has more than 16 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist. Peggy earned her master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Fort Hays State.

Peggy is specialized in working with preschool aged children with various speech and language disorders and delays, including autism spectrum disorders, childhood apraxia of speech and Down’s syndrome.
