Herbert L. ‘Herb’ Stohs, 63, died on Monday at his home in Marysville after a long illness.

Herb was born June 26, 1948 in Marysville. After graduating from Marysville High School in 1966 he joined the US Navy.  While in the Navy, Herb served aboard the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk and the U.S.S. Ticonderoga during the Vietnam War.  On November 16, 1971 he married Lora L. Owens at the old Marshall County Courthouse.

Herb had worked at Landoll Corporation for over 20 years before he retired.  He was a member of SMN&R Post No. 163 of the American Legion in Marysville.

Survivors include his wife Lora, and their two sons, Greg Stohs, Marysville,  and Brian Stohs, Colby. 

Memorial services are planned for 10:30 am, Saturday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Marysville with Pastor Donnie Hoffman officiating.  Inurnment will be at Marysville City Cemetery following the service.

Memorials are suggested to Meadowlark Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
