Help return Wounded Knee tract to the Lakota people

By Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:
Nathan Blindman, an Oglala Lakota from Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, informed attendants at the 2013 Flint Hills Wisdom Keepers Gathering in Council Grove on April 28 that an 80-acre tract owned by a nonIndian in the middle of the Wounded Knee massacre site (with a county appraisal of $14,000) was to be put up for sale May 1 for $4.9 million with hopes of seeing it developed into a tourist site.
