TOPEKA—The Manhattan High boys’ basketball team lost on the road, 54-46, Tuesday night to the Hayden Wildcats.
After trailing most of the first half, the Indians rallied in the third quarter, tying the score and even taking a one-point lead heading into the fourth period.
But in the fourth, Manhattan was outscored 17-8 to end any chance at a win.
Manhattan was led by Payton Stephens’ 13 points, while Hayden was led by Jacob Head and Marcus Meier, each with 16.
The Indians travel to Junction City on Friday.
