To the Editor:
Kansas teachers should be informed about the effect of their votes on Nov. 6. If Bob Reader is elected to the state Senate, he will continue the governor’s plan to dismantle our strong public education system by forcing the cost of education onto local property tax and amending the Constitution to allow vouchers. Because property tax payers cannot make up the deficit caused by reduced state funding, massive cuts will have to be made to education.
