Governor’s praise of state employees amounts to lip service

I watched the governor’s speech Wednesday night, and he said that the state employees were important to the state. I would have to agree with this statement, but what I didn’t hear him say is that the state employees were going to get pay raises or a cost-of-living adjustment. So with that being said, I guess we state employees aren’t that important.
