Fraternity member accused of theft

By Katherine Wartell

A member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity allegedly used a fraternity credit card to make $30,000 worth of unauthorized purchases between January 2011 and April 2012.

Capt. Kurt Moldrup said the man used the credit card multiple times during that time period to make purchases that ran the gamut from food to personal items.

He said the suspect is an officer in the fraternity, so he had the authority to use the card, but no arrests have been made, and the case is still under investigation.
