By Jelani Yancey

The Frankfort Wildcats may be a young team, but that didn’t seem evident in its domination of Southern Cloud. Junior running back Lucas Adams led the Wildcats with 256 yards on the ground off 25 carries and totaled four touchdowns.

Senior tailback Calahan Brown also had a successful night rushing for 163 yards on 17 carries with two touchdowns.

Starting quarterback Alex Surdez was unavailable due to an injury suffered late in the offseason and sophomore Jake Rose stepped in behind center and rushed for two touchdowns.

The game was tied 8-8 after the first quarter, but Frankfort pulled away after that, leading 32-9 going into halftime. By the end of the third, the Wildcats were on top 44-14.
