Four drug arrests in Pott County

By Katherine Wartell

Four St. George residents were arrested on separate drug charges over the past week.

Pottawatomie County Sheriff Greg Riat said deputies arrested James R. Bastion, 24, on Monday after Bastion had been involved in a car accident west of St. Marys on US 24. Riat said Bastian was uninjured in the accident but was arrested after deputies located an unspecified quantity of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Bastion was arrested for DUI, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. Riat said Bastion is being held in the Pottawatomie County Jail at $10,000 bond.

On Wednesday, Riat said the Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 703 6th St. in St. George. He said deputies arrested Jacob Taylor, 23, and a 17-year-old female. Both Taylor and the juvenile female, who he did not identify, were charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Riat said the juvenile female was released to her parents. Taylor is currently being held at the Pottawatomie County Jail. His bond has not been set.

On the same day, the Sheriff’s Office executed two additional search warrants at 501 Ash St. and 501 Spruce St. Riat said deputies arrested Ronald Ince, 48, 501 Spruce St., for possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ince is confined to the Pottawatomie County Jail. His bond has not been set.
