By The Mercury

Country Stampede still has a full day left, but one headliner has already been named for next year.

Stampede officials announced during Friday’s performances that Eric Church will headline one of the days of next year’s event.

Church has been a popular act with a loyal fan base since his first release, “Sinners Like Me,” and his second effort “Carolina.” His 2011 release, “Chief,” made him a national star.

That record has spawned two number one platinum certified hits.  “Drink in My Hand” and “Springsteen”
