FHSC Earthquakes take first

The 12-and-under Flint Hills Soccer Club Earthquakes won the Kansas City Champions Cup Tournament this past weekend.

They went 2-0-1 in pool play.

The Earthquakes tied their first game against the Columbia, (Ill.) Panthers 2-2.

They then beat the Altoona (Iowa) AYSA Flamengo 8-1 and shut out the Caseyville (Ill.) Gateway FC 4-0.

The Earthquakes defeated the Topeka Select Wolf Pack 4-2 in the championship game.

Earthquakes players include Joey Crespino, Trace Dillon, Hunter French, Carson Gros, Dylan Haar, Mitchell Hutchinson, Matthew Long, Josh Priddle, Aidan Proctor, Brett Seaton, Michael Turnley and Luke Wichmann.

The team is coached by Bill Turnley and Scott French.
