Toxicology reports for a driver killed in an accident on US Highway 24 in March indicate the man had been driving under the influence of controlled substances.

Michael Ippert, 28, Manhattan, died on March 13 after being ejected from his 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe after he drove the vehicle off of the road near Tuttle Terrace mobile home park on US-24 early that morning.

Kansas Highway Patrol officials said the toxicology reports came back positive for driving under the influence.

Ippert died on the scene.
