Falcons softball drops two

The Riley County Falcons traveled to Marysville and dropped a doubleheader, losing 3-0 and 5-1 against the Bulldogs.

Heidi Prockish pitched both games and Kerrigan Simons was behind the plate. In the first game, Prockish had two singles. Makayla Tegtmeier and Maddie Rogers each singled to round out the hitting.

In the second game, Emily Brummett hit a double and a single. Alyssa Kulp had two singles and Rogers had another single in the 5-1 loss. Now 6-12 on the season, the Falcons travel to Clay Center on Tuesday for their final regular-season games. The softball regional tournament is in Rossville on May 19-21.
