I was really pleased a few days ago when I read the article in the Mercury about the recent increase in the amount of advertising on television.
The excess of ads seemed to start with the advent of football this fall. I noticed the increase early on and mentioned it to others, who agreed that there had been excessive advertising, especially during football games.
It may not be all positive for the advertising business; I regularly turn off games of little personal interest because of a strong distaste for the ads.
