Engrain hires commercial specialist

By The Mercury

Engrain, a global provider of grain technologies based in Manhattan, hired John Bachman as commercial specialist and will be stationed at its regional office in Nairobi, Kenya.

Bachman, originally from St. Joseph, Mo., will work directly with wheat and corn processing facilities throughout Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

Bachman will focus on promoting an understanding of Engrain’s technology throughout the East African region by conducting product demonstrations and negotiating sales opportunities.

“Bachman brings energy and enthusiasm to Engrain in his desire to embark on the adventure of helping to manage our continued business in East Africa,” says Vaughn Studer, Engrain’s chief executive officer.

Bachman, a 2014 graduate of Kansas State University, said, “I am excited about the opportunity to make connections across cultures and gain field experience working with millers internationally.”
