EMS volleyball wins match

The Eisenhower Middle School eighth grade volleyball B team picked up its first match win of the season on Monday, splitting a pair of matches.

EMS defeated Emporia 25-10 and 25-14 and then lost to Abilene 19-25 and 12-25.

Kaitlyn Hagedorn served 16 straight points in the first set against Emporia and had 20 service points on the day.

Montana Adams served for 12 points and was error-free on passes against Emporia. Eilish MacCharles and Therriana Pittman led in blocks.

EMS’next action will be this Thursday in a quad against Fort Riley, Seaman andAnthony Middle School, with the eighth grade A team playing at Anthony and the eighth grade B team playing at Eisenhower.
