EMS volleyball goes 2-1

The Eisenhower Middle School eighth grade volleyball B team went 2-1 in a quad at Emporia on Thursday.

EMS opened with a tough three-set loss to Emporia (26-24, 23-25, 9-15). Hannah Kordyak, Kaitlyn Hagadorn and Montana Adams led the way in serving.

Eisenhower then swept Junction City 25-14 and 25-12. Therriana Pittman led in scoring and blocks. Zaria Oates, Sydney Smith and Izzy Ballou led in passing.

EMS ended the day with a big win over Seaman (25-16, 25-21), after losing to the Vikings in two earlier matches. Adams scored 13 points in only two service rotations, added two kills, and she and Eilish MacCharles led in passing.

EMS will play another quad at Anthony Middle School this Thursday.
