EMS volleyball goes 2-1

The Eisenhower Middle School eighth grade volleyball team went 2-1 in a home quad on Thursday.

EMS opened with a 25-16, 25-12 win over Marysville.

Madison Johnson had four aces in the match, while Jaylie Thornton had three aces, five assists and a kill.

Kennedy Wilson had one ace, three kills, one dig and a block. Liz Wilson had three aces, one dig and three kills, while Karmen Martinie had one ace and three digs. Rayleene Stone had two aces, one assist and a block.

The second match was a 26-24, 17-25, 15-9 win over Concordia. Johnson had one ace, six kills and one block, while Thornton had two digs, 10 assists and two kills.

Kennedy Wilson finished with one assist, five kills and five blocks and Liz Wilson had one ace, three digs and 11 kills. Martinie finished with one ace, seven digs, 12 assists and one kill, while Melissa Cross had six digs.

EMS finished the day with a 25-9, 25-9 loss to Shawnee Heights.

The Eisenhower B team also beat Marysville and Concordia, and lost to Shawnee Heights.
