Eldredge to perform at concert on Fort Riley

By The Mercury

Country music star Brett Eldredge will perform a free concert, open to the public, at 8 p.m. June 9 on Fort Riley’s Custer Hill.

The concert is part of a military appreciation event at Fort Riley sponsored by PlayStation and held during 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley’s annual Victory Week.

Titled “Salute to our Troops,” the three-day event also will include the “Road to Greatness” gaming truck, to be located at the Warrior Zone, Fort Riley.

Brett Eldredge, a native of Illinois, has been nominated for the Country Music Association Awards’ New Artist of the Year. His hits include the singles “Don’t Ya” and “Beat of the Music.” His debut album, titled “Bring You Back,” was released on Atlantic Records.

He opened 19 dates on Taylor Swift’s The RED Tour in 2013.

“Everything it takes to get to wherever I’m going to play — every airplane and car I ride in — is so worth it once I’m able to get up on that stage,” Eldredge said.

“I want everybody in the crowd to feel the energy that I’m feeling from them.”
