Eisenhower Middle School volleyball goes 2-1

The Eisenhower Middle School volleyball team went 2-1 in the East vs. West Showdown last week Tuesday at Salina Lakewood.

The team opened with a 25-21, 25-15 loss to McPherson. Madison Johnson had three aces, Jaylie Thornton had five digs and three assists. Liz Wilson had one dig, one assist and eight kills, while Karmen Martinie had six digs, six assists and one kill. Paxton Stone had one ace and two digs and Melisa Cross had three digs.

EMS beat Salina Lakewood in the second match, 25-21, 25-15. Johnson had seven aces, Thornton had one ace and seven assists. Wilson had one ace, one dig and eight kills. Martinie had one ace, two digs and two assists. Rayleen Stone had two kills. Cross had three digs. Paxton Stone had three digs and LaNajia Sanders had one kill.

EMS finished the day with a 25-17, 18-25, 15-11 win over Salina South. Johnson had 11 aces, Thronton had one ace, two digs and three assists, while Kennedy Wilson had three aces and Liz Wilson had four aces.

Martinie had for digs, five assists and one kill. Rayleene Stone had one assist, two kills and two blocks. Cross had two digs. Paxton Stone had two kills and Sanders had one block.
