Eisenhower competes in home track and field meet

The Eisenhower Middle School track teams competed in the Eisenhower Invitational last week.

The seventh grade girls were sixth, while the boys were first. The eighth grade girls were sixth and the boys were fourth.

The seventh grade girls were led by a first-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay, while the 4x100 took second.

Mikela Robinson was second in the long jump and the 100 dash, and Madison Johnson was second in the 400 dash.

The seventh grade boys got first-place finishes in the 4x400 and 4x200, and finished second in the 4x100 relay.

Tom Haug was first in the high jump, while Michael Smith was first in the 400. James Willson took first in the 800 and second in the 1,600 run. John Haug took first in the triple jump and first in the 100 hurdles.

Akira Alesna had second-place finishes in the discus and shot put, while Kea McDonald was second in the 100 and 200 and third in the 400. Carter Perkins was third in the 800.

In eighth grade girls, Tarrah Bammes was first in the 400 and second in the 200. The medley relay was first, while Tate Thompson was second in the 3,200 and Maddie Taylor was third in the 1,600.

Brandon Religa led the eighth grade boys with a first place in the triple jump, first in the 800 and first in the 1,600. The medley relay was first, while both the 4x100 and 4x200 relays took third.
