Eisenhower competes at McPherson invite

The Eisenhower Middle School track teams competed at the McPherson Invitational on Friday.

The eighth grade boys and girls each took fifth, while the seventh grade boys were first and the girls were sixth.

In eighth grade girls, Sarah Middendorf was third in long jump and Madlyn Taylor was first in the 1,600-meter run. The 4x200 relay took third and the 800 relay was first.

On the boys’ side, Terance Johnson was first in shot put, while Brandon Religa was first in the 800 and the 1,600. Darryl Mallet was third in triple jump and the 4x400 relay was third.

In seventh grade girls, Jaylie Thornton was second in the 800 and Mikela Robinson was second in the 100. The 4x400 relay was third and the 800 relay was third.

John Haug finished first in triple jump and first in 100 hurdles for the seventh grade boys, while James Wilson was second in the 800 and the 1,600.

The 4x200, 4x400 and 800 medley relay groups all took first, while Michael Smith was second in the 400. Tom Haug took third in both the high jump and the discus.
